Robots Will Kill 10 year Anniversary show @ Vincent Michael Gallery

The Robots Will Kill crew will be showing at the Vincent Michael Gallery on April 1st to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. I have known Chris since I started making stickers in 2003. He was the first of a handful of people I started to notice and had the great opportunity to trade with back then. He's been a great mentor, innovator and pusher of the sticker art culture. This show is definitely something you would want to check out and surely can't be missed!

Linotype: The Film by Doug Wilson

"Linotype: The Film" Official Trailer from Linotype: The Film on Vimeo.
Linotype: The Film is a feature-length documentary film centered around the Linotype typecasting machine invented by Ottmar Mergenthaler. Called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by Thomas Edison, the Linotype revolutionized printing and society, but very few people know about the inventor or his fascinating machine.
The Linotype completely transformed the communication of information similarly to how the internet is now changing it all again. Although these machines were revolutionary, technology began to supersede the Linotype and they were scrapped and melted-down by the thousands. Today, very few machines are still in existence.

Thom Yorke Live DJ Set

I am not a big Radiohead fan. I actually think some of their music is kinda bleh except for the singles. I just dont think I like to be depressed when I listen to music. Anyways, he did a Dj set randomly in LA at a club called Low End Theory. His first cut is ok, getting the crowd warmed up, but once he put on Madvillain's - Americas Most Blunted the crowd got hyped.
I also just heard he's trying to do a song or album with DOOM. I just hope the Ghostface album he promised and along with 2 other albums (Madvillain 2, a new King Gheedora) in the shelf will come out before the MF Yorke comes out. Props to any Dj who bumps MF DOOM.

White Men CAN Jump

Besides being my favorite Wesley/Woody buddy movie (Fuck you Money Train!) The movie teaches people not to judge people by their look, but who they are. Oh yeh, Rosie Perez was much hotter than J-Lo on Money Train. Yeh I said it! Check out this other white kid that can jump named Jacob Tucker. This kid is freakin' amazing. With a 50' running vertical jump, this kid has some serious ups. Give this kid a spot at the NCAA dunk contest please!

Arkiv "Through the Lines" at Vincent Michael Gallery

Malaysian artist Arkiv had his first solo show in the United States at Vincent Michael Gallery this month. The opening was this Friday so me and Amanda with a few of our other friends went and checked it out. His colors and line work in all his pieces were awesome. The steady curved lines on his artwork really stand out in front of the bold colors he uses in his pieces. For the rest of the show click here.

My favorite out of all his pieces. Too bad I dont have couple thousand to just invest in art to enjoy them in my house.

+ PLUS +
= Equals =

So you remember the Berbils from Thundercats? They were a strange secondary characters on the show. They never gave them a back story of how they managed to come about. I think I finally figured it out. My theory is that when C3PO got prophesized to be "The Golden One" by the Ewoks in Star Wars, they had to recreate a likeness to this "god" they now see. So they made a Droid Ewok. OR somehow they made some sweet droid on ewok lovin'.

I know these are totally different shows, fuck it. Makes sense in my head.

Finally got around to adding teeth to this design and decided to flip it with other color schemes. Rather than just diamond color ways i gave it more of a birth stone flip to the whole idea. Emeralds and Ruby's oh my!
