STANCE

Stance socks are the truth! You are looking at the most comfortable socks I've ever worn ever. I was lucky enough to meet John from Stance at Agenda and he hooked me up with 2 fresh pair of the dopest socks I've ever owned. I was a Golden Toe man until I put on my Stance socks. The first time I put on the thicker wool socks (WOOL PIG) I didn't take it off my feet for almost 24 hours. It was so comfortable and warm. So perfect for this brick mother f*kin cold weather here in Philly.  Also, when I did take them off, my feet didn't smell and they were dry. Nothing worst than a damp sock, gross... These are the best pair of socks ever.

Go to your local skate store and tell them to buy a ton. These socks need to be on everyones feet. They got some sweet selection of colorways to match some of your kicks and even an artist series collection.

Agenda NYC 2011

I've been a fan of streetwear scene and was always curious on working these shows one day with my own line. I always saw Magic was always like the tradeshow to be at and need to be to get known. Now, Agenda is leading the way in even more niche class of companies that specializes in selling to small boutique stores. Companies like Mishka, Hundreds and Herschel  can flourish and meet potential shop owners who are interested in these companies and can get them direct contact right away. Magic is so big that the smaller niche companies get lost in the ocean of start up clothing lines and big department store clothing lines. Aaron Levant is the man that put Agenda together. You can get to know a lil bit more about the man and the show by watching this video from hypebeast. I actually had the opportunity to thank him for organizing the show and even got to pass him a sticker pack.

Slap, Slap, Slap, Pound, Up, Down, Snap

Recently been obsessing and listening to The Death Set. Found them while I was looking at Mishka's blog when I downloaded the FREE mixtape they put out. It's a definite download! It's like listening to a harder and better Girl Talk. From Mishka's:
"This mix is so much more than raps and rocks getting jumbled around.  There’s a good melange of everything that would possibly get people pumped.  There’s some salsa, the Zombies, The Jackson 5, some Fugazi, Angry Samoans, The Misfits, Descendents, Waka Flocka, Black Sheep, Cee Lo – you know what, it’s mostly just punk and rap."
This is the new single from their upcoming album called, Slap Slap Slap Pound Up Down Snap. Enjoy and prepare to hit repeat like 100 more times after you hear it first.

I love a band that has killer aesthetics and look that goes with their whole sound and presence. They got a killer art direction with the whole look and vibe they are portraying. Much like how I really got into Die Antwoord when I first heard and saw them on the interwebs.

Next time I see you you better get ready for Slap, Slap, Slap, Pound, Up, Down, Snap!

Pizza Power

There's a whole lot of wrong going on with this video, but its freakin hilarious. The costumes are nuts. Why do they have leather straps?! What's with the sweater tied to the waist? I can go on..just enjoy.

Matt Siren, Victor Perez, and Jason Podlaski @ Slingluff Gallery

Last Saturday I went over to Slingluff Gallery in Northern Liberties to check out a show featuring Matt Siren, Victor Perez, and Jason Podlaski. I've known of Matt Siren's work for years now and we even traded a few stickers back in the day. It was a pleasure to meet him finally in person and check out his new work. It was great to see some Dark Clouds in the mix with his works. The collaborations he did with him are bad ass. The work Siren did are so layered that it just draws you in further and further within the piece. My favorite though are the 2 super sized Galvatron canvases.
I also met Victor and Jason the 2 guys behind Deck Stools. They take old broken or warped boards and turn them into functioning furniture. Super awesome idea and looks so rad. Me and Matt sat comfortably on the skate bench while we drew in each others book. The owners Jonathan and Leigh ( *corrected) are also great gallery owners. We ended up at Johnny Brendas after the show with a few people from the gallery and got some food and a few pints of kenzinger. Check out the show, it'll be up till the end of the month. Check out the rest of the pics here!

New Madvillain

Finally something new from the Madvillain! They released Paper Mills a while back, but I haven't heard anything new or even news about the new album. The debut Madvillain album launched both artists to a new found fame and new ears to assault with the bomb ass beats and RPG's (Rhyme Propelled Grenades).
This new song is actually just a snippet of 2 tracks and it's from the Stones Throw podcast "50-minute mix of current & upcoming Stones Throw Records for 2011"by Peanut Butter Wolf.

Artists that inspire me - Pez

Artists that inspire me is a new section in the blog I would like to start writing about. I would like to highlight the people that brought me to where I am now and clearly with out their visual stimulation I won't be here writing this. I would like to introduce to you, Pez.
No not the candy. The spanish artists that draws his awesome fish characters everywhere! He's definitely a big influence from the very beginning (along with many others) when I was first introduced to character based street art. He should definitely be more well known and is a big credit to where character based street art is being more accepted because of him laying the ground work down in the beginning. His blogsiteshop.

Frost with Venom

Got a few projects lined up that I'll be needing alot of cans, so I decided to do bang out a few markers on canvas board to raise up some funds. I had this one sketched out a while back and finally put it on a canvas board. Venom has always been one of my favorite villains because of how awesome the symbiote is and the shit the suit can do. Pretty much anything. Idk how Eddie Brock always gets his ass kicked by Spiderman all the time though. He's like triple the size. Who gets beat by a bell?! Available at the my shop. Of course I'll throw in stickers and extras when ordered.
